What is an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are work based learning programmes, giving individuals the opportunity to gain a formal national recognised qualification. Apprenticeships are available to new recruits as well as existing employees, and are open to all ages, subject to eligibility.
What apprenticeships do HR Training & Development currently offer?
- Level 2 Apprenticeship in Construction Civil Engineering – Pathway 1: Construction Operations
- Level 2 Apprenticeship in Construction Civil Engineering – Pathway 3: Highways Maintenance
How long does it take?
These apprenticeships run for a minimum of 12 months.
How are they delivered?
Our Construction apprenticeships are delivered with a combination of classroom based theory training and practical training carried at our Leeds training centre. There will also be some on site guided learning required, as well as a number of on-site observations where the learner is assessed against the relevant national occupational standards and performance is measured against the requirements of the NVQ code of practice. Feedback and additional guidance will be given to the learner at each of these visits. All on-site guided learning and observation is planned and agreed beforehand with the learner, their employer and the assessor.
