We offer a number of courses designed for those involved in the excavation and reinstatement of the highway. Under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) 1991, installation, renewal, maintenance and inspection of underground apparatus in any street or road must be under the control of competent people. This is a legal requirement for utility contractors and for those working under “section 50 licenses” (drainage works, etc).
We have purpose-built centres both in Leeds and Chesterfield to accommodate theoretical & practical training and assessments. We also have facilities for reassessment courses, required for those who want to renew their existing qualifications.
Upon completion of our courses you will be issued with the relevant accredited certificates and a card confirming your registration onto the Street Works Qualification Register (SWQR).
