CPCS Mobile Crane (A60)

Introduction

In use extensively on construction projects and sites across the world, tower and mobile cranes are a mainstay in building works, transporting goods, lifting apparatus and moving materials. Relatively simple to operate with training, they are commonly out on hire for various projects.

They do, however, present two main safety concerns:

  • Crane collapse – creating significant potential for multiple fatal injuries, on and off-site
  • Load falling – a cause of death and significant injury from falling, heavy materials, debris and equipment

Workers and others in the vicinity have also been struck by moving loads, cranes contacting overhead conductors and colliding with each other. So while simple in operation, the safety concerns and considerations are many. It is therefore critical that only trained operatives man a mobile crane and that experience, knowledge, and skill are pivotal to their training.

This CPCS Mobile Crane A60 training gives delegates the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to identify and eliminate any bad habits in the safe operation of a Mobile Crane.

Course Outline

Through a mix of practical and theory-based exercises and tutorials, delegates will cover manufacturer, and general knowledge and awareness of lifting operations use while participating in practical plant operating activities, safety procedures, and best practices for Mobile Crane use.

The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with regulations. In addition, choose to learn with Citrus, and we can tailor course s to fit your specific training needs, with the added flexibility provided by our custom-built training facilities and customer-first approach to how we work.
